How do you guys get 1/0 gauge wire into amps?

Buy reducers or trim strands until it fits. Game over. Any questions. Those are the only two ways to make it fit. This isn't a female. Vaseline doesn't work on amplifiers. I've never tried but I'm guessing. Key the GOAT @Popwarhomie.

wouldnt this nullify having thicker wire to begin with? Ive been told to just cut back some copper til it fits, but doesnt that defeat the point?

Not really. If you check out a wire guage chart, you'll see 4awg can handle over 3000 watts if less than a 4 foot run. You need bigger cable for longer lengths of run.

I've got a second battery to run my subwoofer amp...without it I'd run low voltage and it'd go into protect
