amp and sub matches that are good

Wire to a 1ohm load with the DVC4 ohm subs be my choice.. But you can wire them to 4 ohms. Just follow the wiring correctly to get the final ohm load of the subs to the amplifier

thanks!! i guess svc are diff than dvc? in that 4 ohm can be wired into 2 ohm? but the dvc are either 4 ohm or 1 ohm? i will read up on this. it sucks being the only one in my area that gets into car systems and wanting to learn the whole setup.. i wish there were people around where i could look at their set ups and see how they wire stuff, without having to drive to atlanta or jacksonville.

The principle is the same...just on 2 dvc subs you have 4 voice coils to wire up instead of 2

when the time comes, im gonna need help with wiring a relay, so i can have it running from battery for amp turn ons. i have never messed with relays and dont know crap about them. the article i read said that way it doesnt overload the hu.. like i said im new to all of this stuff, so its learn as i go. unless you think the hu will support both amps.. of course i will be getting rid of the 5 channel amp for a more powerful 4 channel in the future. i didnt think i would get this involved in stereos, but it turns out its addictive as hell. so nothing is planned as i hoped it would be.

When I decided to get back into car audio a year or so I thought I'd just do something simple like add a sub and a better hu to my daily commuter...I'm already on my 3rd rebuild with a 4th on the horizon 🤣🤣🤣

damn.. i think this system has been down longer than its been running. as soon as i think im good, i find a forum like this and im off and running again.. gf is pissed im spending so much time gutting my car but i told her its better than doi g so
e other stuff, so let it be. i have a 2015 sentra so its not lime i can jam too much stuff in it. a stronger 4 channel amp, stronger speakers than the 80 watt speakers i have now and take em out of the rear window and see if i can jam some into the rear doors without having to gut the car to get speaker wires to them. i still have to get the stronger amp and the odyssey battery. hopefully that will be good, if not then i will add another battery to the trunk, then i have to gut it again to figure out that wiring. i trying to figure a way to wire it now so i dont have to keep ripping box and false floor out.

The HU Remote wire should be able to handle two amplifiers without any issues. When you get into Multiple amplifiers of 3 or more I highly recommend a relay,as well as multiple fans if needed. But for two amplifiers.. you shouldnt have a need for a relay.

A Toggle switch will work as well, and can be wired to the inside fuse panel from the Aux of which will save some wiring for the remote/On/Off to the amplifiers. They are generally from 20-30 amp fuses. It is recommended to utilize the remote/on/off wiring from the HU

I remember when I started this hobby..the closest Audio store was about 50 miles away.Amplifiers were just hitting the markets. i couldnt tell you how may speakers Ive blown over the years or amps that got cooked as I learned on my own. i think the hardest part was installing an amplifier with the High level inputs as RCAs were not readily available at the time. Lots of wires, masking tape and bic ballpoint pens used. LOL, and time invested

Ballpoint pens? Please explain. I've been around bass since 85' and don't know what ballpoint pens are for.

Running so many wires with the High level inputs.. I used Masking Tape and a bic Ball Point pen to tape and mark each wire. It deff helped to tag each wire, as most of the wiring were the same color back then. 😬

I hear ya. I never messed with the installs when they got too complicated for me. I stayed in my lane and left it to the professionals. I know that's weak but I was usually too busy and not smart enough to do complicated installs in a clean fashion when I was 20 years old.

Once I was able to get my hands on RCAs(they were pretty expensive back then) It was a God send. I worked on friday Nights and sat, and some Sundays installing simple systems and was able to get some for trade off of working, and extra wiring, ect,. Learned quite a bit and even experienced some new gear the Cheater amp Erra. Good times and good people
