Best double din options...

I'm in the market for a new head unit, I was curious what everyone's opinions were of the current "best" double din head units. I know asking what the best is of anything is kinda pointless, just hoping to get a few top suggestions so I can compare them for myself. I've always been a fan of alpine but I figured I'd try to broaden my taste a bit and be open minded to anything. I appreciate any suggestions.

Id take a look at Kenwood and JVC for the Money. Look at the Features you want most and need. Id look at a 4volt RCA out or better if you can find one you like.Time Alignments is a plus and Low Pass High Pass filters a plus with EQ be my minimum requirements to purchase.

Thank you man this was mainly what I was looking for just key things to look for in a good head unit. The 4 volt preouts was definitely a good pointer to keep in mind thank you for that for sure.
There's a bunch of DS18 brand head units on dowm 4 sound, never heard of the brand before that but seems to be the only brand they have on there for whatever reason. They look really nice but the most expensive one is only like $250... seems awfully cheap.. I know it isn't all about the highest price but usually you get what you pay for... do you have any input on ds18?

I'd stick with Kenwood, Pioneer, and Alpine IMO. The Pioneer double dins were always a little hard to see on sunny days.

The double din in my 65' VW Bug. I sold it. Single AB HD 15" on a Taramps MD3K.

Pioneer has active network mode I don’t think the other brands have that.
That is one reason I got a Pioneer, wanting to try it out to go active at some point but never happened as of yet. I’m tired of dealing with Bluetooth issues, head unit cutting out and having to reboot my unit so this will prob be my last pioneer!

Damn... I watched the video on the pioneer and the network mode ridinhi posted, that **** looks cool as hell everything you can do etc. Also thank you for posting that video that was a great video those guys did on network mode and how to set it up etc.
Basically what I've gathered from this thread is go with either pioneer or Kenwood. I'm gonna check out the top double din from Kenwood and then find the top one from pioneer and try to decide between those. Appreciate every one who replied to the thread and this site in general.
