I have this dual 10" subs from mtx they are old idk what year for sure if anyone knows that would be helpful I'm trying to figure out the wattage so I can figure out what amp I should get when I get a car to put it in and I already know a bunch of you are gonna say they are trash but they'll take way more abuse then any new subs I've tried to blow them for almost a year and they won't and yes it's the original box I had to remove the carpet from it because it sat in a basement for 12 years so it was covered in mold and I restored the box

I would also disconnect those speakers behind them as well no point in using those. Pull one of the subwoofers and get a model number and go from there as he said. Most likely SVC as well but you won't know till you pull one of those subwoofers out. And ditch the ugly covers as well no point to those either.

Most likely Road Thunder (first series) as the Road Thunder 2 had yellow writing as well. Most likely single 4 ohms per side, but as others stated, best to take one out and read the sticker on magnet.

I’d also guess road thunders or similar as well. Take a sub out and look for a model number on the magnet, may or may not have it. Post a photo of the back of the sub as well so we can see what it looks like.

For power, I’d think 100 watts per sub for those old ones like that would be a safe bet, maybe 150-200 clean watts maximum. So an amp that does 300rms should do the job for the pair. Of course could get 500w for a little headroom of clean power if set right.

Seeing the magnet might help with recommendations. A lot of those older budget subs were pretty low power though.

You’ve tried to blow them for almost a year and haven’t yet? Guess that Sparkomatic booster ain’t enough for them huh?🙄
Lol, j/k. Just saying cause those surround do not look healthy by any means.
