Hey everyone! I recently bought a '21 Forte EX and it comes with the premium Harmon Kardon system; 8 speakers, a 320 watt amp and a sub.

I bought a head unit from ali express ( TEYES SPRO Plus For Kia Cerato 4 2018 2020 Car Radio Multimedia Video Player Navigation GPS Android 10 No 2din 2 din dvd|Car Multimedia Player| - AliExpress ) that is made for the Forte but it only supports a 4.1 channel output. My question is, if I get this installed will I still be able to take advantage of all my speakers , tweeters and the sub and not lose any sound quality? I'm assuming the premium sound system is 5.1 output. I already made the purchase so I can't back out of it now 😅 Does 4.1 output really matter? Or is it still possible to power the center speaker, front and rear AND the sub?

If you look at the write up the software only supports the 4.1
The hook ups on the back are fiber optic and coaxial.
The are capable of supporting 5.1
But the software in the player is not.
Figure out a way to update the software
I have no idea how your going to accomplish that but if you do hats off
I wouldn't have the patience myself

I have yet to see any great reviews from reputable people about any of those generic brand Chinese Android/multimedia head units and honestly this post looks like OP just signed up on this forum to spam that link.
Well, no. I genuinely need help and advice from people because I've seen lots of videos about TEYES products and I wanted one for myself. I bought a head unit and just need help figuring out if I can power all of my speakers and sub properly.

Most people who buy those kind of headunits just want a cool looking head unit. I’m apart of a 8th Gen Accord Group on FB, & majority of those guys buy em from Ali and love em lol

Well you'll have to be a trailblazer here and give us a review once you get this up and running. You may not miss center channel and as far as I'm concerned without either a 5+ channel audio mix (like your home surround system) or very advanced processing and setup more channels is usually worse for just listening to music.

Typically though the folks around here stick to the big name head units because they're known/proven quality/reliability which can be an issue with those Alibaba units.

Interesting. I would not trust them.

I wouldn’t either lol I’d probably buy a the Alpine/Pioneer/Kenwood floating 9-10” screen head units if I wanted to add some aesthetics.

I got an Alpine Halo over the winter. Nice unit, fantastic screen but I very much miss having a remote.
Worth the price? Plenty of people down here in Hawaii starting to rock them in their set ups. Been thinking about it for a while lol..

I run them, however as for reputable...... meh.

I ran a 7" all touch screen android unit with 1gb/16gb for almost 3 years.... maybe more, at this point I can not remember. Bought one when they were really cheap before they went up. Was in my daily on a twisted sounds 3.5k and later a DC 7.5k and a Sundown SAX 100.4 and had no issue with the RCA outputs, split the single sub output at the deck, ran the sax off rear channel. had 6x8 in doors and 6x9 in rear deck old school MTX thunders (rated 150/180rms if i recall correctly) and it was plenty loud and clear off of the deck power before I amped them. I just built a system in my 06 audi a4, I got a 9" android with 2gb(so much faster) and running the twisted and front jbl components great. I ran into the problem and why my car is significant is the stock radio supplies low level inputs into the amp and my low level inputs out of the android deck was obviously incorrect voltage and the rear was non existent (typically not a problem however again with this car the rear doors have a tweeter on top of door panel farthest front corner aka in shot of my ears) to over come this i wired in a cheap LOC onto the rear speaker outputs and adjusted gain for the factory amp.

I accidently bought a 10" thinking it would fit so I do have another I will try installing into my next build starting soon, I dont know if it will clear though. I do have 2 kenwood exceleon headunits incase I ever have any issue. maybe that's less frowned upon. FWIW I am running the twisted hard into a NSv3 15 and the deck has no issue in that environment. Also ran it on a DD m4 no issues full tilt.
