so first my set up

I have a 2017 Dodge Journey I’m putting in a next gen alternator that is 350 amps. Also a second battery the sk-bt-140 and doing the big three upgrade. I’m running a massive audio blade 8 k and two hippo xl 12’s in a custom box with stock HU and massive audio fx69 6x9 x4.

now for my questions:
would adding capacitors help my system to play for longer or not?

Would adding the super caps help anything?
battery life span, alt life span, amp life span?

Honestly I would just go lithium before I went with super caps. If you were competing and doing burps sure the super caps would be a great idea but for a 4k amp in a daily setup I wouldn't bother with either.

A 350 amp alt and a 140ah AGM should be fine.

It is my daily I will also be competing some as I continue to build.

What I was thinking was alt to batteries the batteries to super cap bank of about 8k to amp to speakers. Is there anything wrong with this?

You won't see anywhere near 8k out of that amp. It has a 400 amp fuse rating. Plus impedance rise lowering that power even more.

A 350 amp alt and that 140ah AGM should be enough.

I understand that what I want is to have 8k watts banked for use and then have the battery as the back up and then the alt. Would this work?

Another no vote here. Supercaps have a very narrow range of use and if you're in here asking about them it's not going to be what you need. You need additional alternator or batteries for continuous music use. You may be OK with what you have listed. Start there and add more as needed or ditch the AGM and get into some lithium now if you've got the money and want to get fancy.
