My first "Active" "SQ'ish" build attempt.

One more piece to the puzzle. I can actually run these in my doors in a factory 3.5" location and may do so until my pods get here.

The stereo is starting to do some weird audio stuff. When I first turn the car on in the afternoon, sound will only be coming from the left two speakers and the right midbass until I turn the volume up then the right mid will kick on. The sub is uneffected through this whole weirdness. After a while of driving and listening to music the sound will shift across the dash to be right side dominant. I thought my left mid stopped working but as it turns out just the highs muted themselves. It was still playing music but the highs were just gone.... then, after a while, they would come back. The sound stage would center itself and it would be good for the rest of the night. WTF?

I am STILL waiting on the pods... that are in ATLANTA 5 hours away!!!! COME ON MAN!!!

Once they get here, if they get here, I can fit the speakers and tweeters. If all fits snug then I am going to pull the trigger on a 2 channel amp to run the tweeters. That will give me 7 independent amplified channels and full active with 3-way front stage.

Oh and my DD 2.75" mids that I have been abusing... they are starting to get scratchy sounding at higher volume levels lol. At half volume they sound so nice. What a shame.

First post in 16 years, Wow, what a roller coaster of a thread. ThxOne, I admire your passion and dedication to the hobby. I can't wait to see what your next update is and just reading through this thread has me even more excited to put a system together. Oh, and that RF 3Sixty.3 looks awesome!

I have settled on the G6 being my learning car. I plan to get a 1999 - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee to which I will put more attention to details like an amplifier rack, a second battery and sound deadening. I may switch to a more modern DSP like the DSR1 for convenience like being able to use my phone to make adjustments. Trying to keep a laptop around all the time isn't practical. I am hoping my knowledge accumulated will be enough when I start that build. I may also move up to a single 12" sub. I'd also like to get a head unit like the Stinger Heigh10 so I can run my fancy optical cable that I have never had the chance to use... that's if I keep the 3Sixty.3 or get a DSP with an optical in. Roller coaster is right lol.

As for your setup, the circled input in that reply is where the LOC (built into the amp) is located. You don’t need a LOC other than that. All you...

well they list that frequence response so I will try to use it. Also, does it help to have the marine speakers in their towers for such a thing...
