Sub suggestion

I personally think Soundqubed subs are not great. Their power handling is good but that's about it. Fs is through the roof, I've heard a few builds with them and granted they're ok but theyre not going to leave you sounding like the best around.
From their sites it doesn't seem like the Fs is that far apart for the 18's

You don't have to take my advice, but as a guy who has heard these subs in a c pillar build, in an SUV, in the box I'm recommending you put them in, who's also a active member in my local bass scene and currently 6th loudest in my state overall, and the loudest car at 20 hz in my state, Id say my advice is good. Unless you're trying to spend 2G's on 2 zv5 18s I recommend you go with SKAR. You cant beat the quality at the same price point

I'm not saying I won't consider Skar as a possibility. I was just trying to get some input on more that one brand.

I didn't mean to come off aggressive there just trying to make sure you don't loose faith in a good brand. Like I said, when it comes down to it, I'm a sundown guy, but when you have an suv to fill and a $600 sub budget SKAR takes you far.
Here's those subs in the box and the predicted response graph from bass box pro

It's all good man. Now how would that be facing mounted in the cargo area?

This would be facing the cabin. You don't need to but it would sound better if you walled off the face of the box to isolate the sound. I can make modifications if need be, but I'm pretty sure that box will slide right in, you'll still have your rear seats and you might even maintain some space for groceries behind the box. I have the yukon XL so my rear is larger but this box could go in my car and I could keep my 3rd row seat.

Could you send me a drawing of the enclosure? I'm very interested in it. If you can with the changes you were speaking of. Also right behind the backseat I was going to make a panel to house my amps, batteries and misc. wiring.

I'm not a good artist but I will try and get the idea on paper. I also know exactly what you mean. There's a perfect spot right behind the seats for equipment. Do me a favor and take some measurements so I know exactly what I'm working with. Remember to account for the box needing to fit through the rear door not just fitting were you want to put it. Also make sure to take into account any angle on the rear seats. Get me those and I'll tweak the design.

I'm kind of liking the Soundqubed HDX3 18's.

good choice

you just gotta know how to tune them. iv'e ran HDC3's before, amazing woofer. back in the day, i liked my aq hdc310 much more than my dd 3510. i had them at the same time. the HD series from SQ, they are some of the best subs for the price, and you can beat the living **** out of them

Let's see...SSA, Brahma, FI, Sundown and a couple others would be so much better then Skar. Some will let you do custom options as well for the spider, the coil and suspension.

I'm a big Fi fan as well. I ran fi bl 18's with full cooling and the works. Idk if they're still this way, but i actually talked to fi about this. they tend to use progressive spiders, and the way they do it really makes for a wide-bandwidth woofer.

companies like american bass and SQ, whose woofers literally were carbon copies, they can hit lows well. one of my buddies i built boxes with for a while had a like 2000 buick regal. we did 2 AB's 12's, whatever their 1500w series was at the time. it was a subs up box, with an 8" sono tube firing back. HE HAD TO CUT OUT HIS REAR DECK BECAUSE IT BROKE SO BADLY. HE LITERALLY BROKE HIS REAR DECK from demoing so much and playing lows. i don't remmber what it was tuned to, but he was touching 25-26 hz with authority, and it wasn't all crappy sounding like the sub was struggling.

2x 4 ohm coils can be wired parallel to 2 ohms or series to 8 ohms. There's many amps with 2 ohm power you can use.
