Pioneer vs Alpine

Hi, I have been using a Pioneer Amp for The last six years and pretty happy with it but looking to install a new system, considering the Pioneer GM-D9704 or maybe the Alpine X-A70F. Just wondering what the general view is between Pioneer and Alpine amps. Is there any material differences in quality and performance?

Not sure about pioneer, but alpine amps are nice. A tad over priced, but i would definitely use one.

There isn't a $400 quality difference in my opinion. As such, I just went from a Blaupunkt 1504 (meh) to a Pio GM-D9705 this weekend. Once installed I'll report how it sounds, but I'm betting it blows the Blapunkt away. So sad to see Blaupunkt, a former super star, reduced to Walmart gear.

I would do the Pioneer myself. No way I would pay that price for the Alpine.

Just finished installing it. I don't know about the 4 channel Pio amp, but I can say this about the 5 channel that I have...go get you one! Absolutely incredible amplifier. Can't wait to start tuning it in. It.s 2:15 AM and I have to get up for work. I killed my battery so testing was over for the night, errr...morning.

Ive been running it at 2 ohms bridged aka 1 ohm per channel. Zero issues at all

4 ohms on the door speakers and 2 ohms for the sub. More power than I'll ever need. I'm happy.

What is the difference between the GM-D9705 and the GM-DX975 'Limited' amplifiers? Does anyone know? Other than gold plated RCA's, what else does the 'DX' offer over the 'D'?
