Alpine Type R 12" acts weird in a ported enclosure

I wonder how he has it wired also. Pretty sure that amp isn't 1 ohm stable.

It's wired at 4 Ohms. The sub has two 2 Ohm coils which are wired in series.

They're not that bad. The trick is to put them in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and sprinkle some parmesan on them. Go great with some sauteed mushrooms.

I tried other tips that people gave me and told the Amps faulty. Or at least it's causing the problem if there's something else wrong with it. (settings off, tuned wrong, idk)

Did you try lowering the gain or changing cross over points like what was mentioned earlier? Amp works fine on sealed sub but not on a ported one? Does that make sense?
