zx2500 at 1ohm daily?

well new amp tomorrow...... for 2 15in. l7's. DVC4's. i really wanted a zx2500 but it says 2500rms @2ohms and with these subs i can only wire em up to 1ohm or 4ohms.

so would it be possible to run this amp at 1ohm and not blow the amp or the subs? i dont want to screw it up as soon as i get a new amp

yep, it will handle the 1 ohm.

now the question is will the subs? its in a 10.66 cubic ft box after sub displacement and all. tuned to 30hz

Yeah, 0 gauge.

Go with some of that Kicker wiring, the real flexible stuff. That stuff is awesome.

well a half decent one....i have a stock 90 amp alty and 2 red tops and ive never gone into protect at 1 ohm nominal (.7dcr) off my kx 2500.1 (same board)...in fact id imagine the kx would go into protect easier than the zx. either way my volatage stays close to 12 v....even at 11.6 v it doesnt shut off......

if ported, impedence rise will help some, but dual 2 ohm woofers would be even safer...
