zx 1500.1 kicker amp @ 1 ohm

I had a kx1200 that was 1 ohm stable and it didn't mind being ran at .5 ohm. It did get warm but not to bad. Not like a Rockford I ran at .5 you could cook shi t on that thing. It never did crap out though.

Haven't done it with a zx but my kx didn't mind being ran below recommended. I had good electrical as well though.

I have pretty good electrical 0 gauge power and ground and big three and big battery and going to get bigger alt too. I just dont want to fry it , also will be running it with gains dialed down so will that help it any ? It will be powering two 10 cvr dual vc 4ohms ?

With a good electrical and after rise etc.. it may be ok. I ran a zx750 at 1ohm.. but personally, I wouldn't risk it on such a nice (and pricey) amp. I would look into getting different sub(s).

Thanks Thats what i was getting at probably cheaper than buying new amp and then buying new subs then lol
Yep. Much cheaper than frying a nice amp and having to replace it. ;D Just buy a pair of D2 or a single D4 or D1 sub and not have to worry about frying the amp.

I ran mine at 1 ohm for awhile. Had two batteries as these amp lose efficiency at 1 ohm. Expect over 2300 at 1 ohm(tested by a few team kicker guys). A lot of guys said this amp was stronger at 1 ohm then the zx2500 at 2 ohms.
