Zx @ 1 ohm?

Im putting my new box in today with both my se's and was wondering if i could run my zx400.1 @ 1 ohm. If not i reckon i can take it to 4 ohms till i get my new amp in.
I tried it with my ZX 1500.1 and it went into protect when I ran it at full tilt, but It was on stock electrical.

I ran my 2500.1 @ 1 ohm daily for about 2 years and then sold it. The amp is still going strong. They will put out some power when dropped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Same they are a beast at 1 ohm.

Shit, I didn't even realize it was a 2ohm amp. I've been running my 400.1 for almost 2 years @ 1ohm. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have googled this one for my zx 750.1 and read several other forums at different sites with people saying it will eventually blow the amp out that it is not good for it.... '

Now looks like I am going to try this now with stock electrical on my cvr 12's 4Ohm.

I will let you know what happens..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Okay, all DONE!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It's official: zx750.1 has been 1 Ohm stable with NO problems on my 1991 Suburban with stock electrical, using 4 gauge to power the amp! (amp is barely warm) Now I can turn the bass boost to almost zero. Running the cvr 12's at 4 Ohm in a sealed box I had to have bass boost at about 7. Now the stupid screws that screw the subs in are vibrating out. How can I fix this??

You can add Loc Tite to the threads...get the lite duty kind...so they can be backed out if needed...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Turn the bass boost off.
I think it's too late.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I bumped full blast and the subs all of a sudden sound like shiiit now. like a popping distorted bass, not clean. One of them was doing this wired at 4 ohm with bass boost @ 7. I think I only had it around 3 whine I dropped it 1 ohm. I thought maybe the screws came loose but, they're still kinda tight and just a few screws won't screw tight.

How can these Kicker cvr's blow out with matched rms within only a few minutes and, with bass boost at no more than 3? They had to be already messed up before when I used 4 ohm load and bass boost at 7 for 2 months.

Oh, and the zx750.1 did cut out once with volume high and when I increased the bass on the HU. I was driving with head lights on. Not really dimming though.
