Zx @ 1 ohm?

Im putting my new box in today with both my se's and was wondering if i could run my zx400.1 @ 1 ohm. If not i reckon i can take it to 4 ohms till i get my new amp in.

I ran zx-1500 at 1 ohm for over a year with no problems, if you have the electical to back it up then go for it

K, thats what i figured just didnt know if i could for a short time without hurting the amp. Now i gotta decide either to run the zx @ 4 ohms or to run my shitty Visonik 1802 on them till i get a new amp.

I wired my friends 750.1 to 1 ohm and havent had any problems.

Either could happen, protect mode is more likely though

I wired my friends 750.1 to 1 ohm and havent had any problems.

I am sure it depends on box rise, and the actual reading of the coils. I had 750.1, and mono channel of 700.5 both wired at 1 ohm with my backup sub and both went into protect multiple times with Big 3, Optima up front and batcap 800 in the rear. So it depends on amp and setup individually.

It is wired to 2 dual 4 ohm CVRs so I used a DMM to get it to 800W. Wont push it any farther since it isnt rated as a 1 ohm amp. Dont want to fry it.

My zx2500 did fine at 1ohm.

To the OP youll be fine at 1ohm. Kicker amps are beast. Just keep your voltage up which shouldnt be hard with on 400w. Id say atleast get a kinetik 2400 and youll be golden //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i just put my brothers zx400.1 @1ohm to a kicker 15l7.. looks like its gettin about 700 rms from that amp its impressive
