Your right...

My new setup sounds pretty good and is uber budget. Before I got this new setup though, I invested in some sound deadener, both fatmat and SS products and did the whole trunk, front doors and rear deck and seems to sound as good as my R's did in there and is just as loud. So before getting rid of the car, I suggest getting some sound deadening material and going to town. It helped my car out a lot.

Eghey, or direct from Second skin. I also like that Cascade stuff, but is a little more pricey. Just depends how much you want to go.

Good deadeners are Hushmat, Cascade, Second Skin, Dynamat.

Your average deadener that a lot of people like because of price/performance is the RAAmat BXT.

Cheap deadener that work well are Fat mat or Peel and seel. I have used Hushmat, Dynamat, Second skin, Fatmat and Peel and Seel and all of them have done their job. Some are just cheaper than the others and last longer and what not.

Sounds like fucking shit. Well DD already doesnt sound all that great
So not true, it's ridiculous.

but I have tried a 9512f tuned at 34 and it sucked ***. They were made to be tuned @ 40 and I wouldnt go lower then 38
Again, not true. Come hear my box that is tuned for 35 hz daily and it will make you a believer. I get nice SQ along with some decent SPL.

Good signal + DECENT amps + well built and tuned box = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Also tell my friend who also was tuned to 34 that it sucked. Wall was 4 separate chambers. Lows were so aggressive that it was flat out sick just to stay inside of. This was good for 155 db TL verified.

Same friend upgraded the 9515's up to 9915's. Same wall with same tuning.

1 JBL Crown 6000 powered this set-up to 157 db.

For SPL use, you can tune higher if you want the bigger numbers, but I love the way they sound tuned at 34 or 35 for daily. You will just need some good power for them along with a decent box.

Box needs to be 4.5 cu ft internal total 1" mdf prefered and well braced......64 sq inches of port....19" long...get an amp that does a true 2000rms clean...you'll be very happy...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
