i am getting a new 3515 in about 2 weeks that is wired at 1 0hm. (exchanging). So how would the AQ2200D do on this sub?

and anyone have box ideas? such as port back sub up, or port back sub back? tuning?

i would NEVER tune higher then 32 hertz for daily.

So you've never heard of DD or AQ.

I had my 10" HDC3 in 1.75 tuned to 38hz and it killed low notes...

DD and AQ rec. tuning to 40 hz. This does not eliminate lower freq.

it will play loud and happy and will still pick up notes down to 34hz. or so.

Have you ever actually TRIED a higher tuned box to make a comparison? I'm guessing you haven't....

To the OP does the other set up sound louder, cleaner, or what? 4 cubes around 38-40Hz with around 2k of power would do wonders for your DD for daily. Also making sure your amp settings are correct to get the most out of the sub...

I would suggest that assuming the box is well built

these dd's are simply under powered. Look into

a kicker 1500.1

What would be the outcome if you would tune it low and put a DD sub in it?

Sounds like fucking shit. Well DD already doesnt sound all that great but I have tried a 9512f tuned at 34 and it sucked ***. They were made to be tuned @ 40 and I wouldnt go lower then 38

Could also be the acoustics of the car. I have an 06 Focus sedan ST and used to have an 02 cavalier. I took the system out of the cav and put in my focus and was night and day difference. Focus accoustics **** IMO. I was doing 144.2 in the cavalier and then 142.2 in my focus. I lost almost 2dbs and sounded better in the cavalier.

This was off 1200rms on two 12"Alpine R's in a sealed box to boot. Wish I could have coughed up the room for ported, but couldn't. Honestly in the cav, they didn't sound too bad.
