I just got a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Im pretty excited to actually have some space to do a nice setup. I love the looks of the new FI subs, and was considering a Q or SSD 15 or 18. Another option i was lookin at was a 3 AA Assasin 12 setup. Budget is important as i would want to keep the subs under 300. As i said space doesnt really matter, and i will be powering them with their RMS power (ill buy the amp after i figure out what subs im getting) I want a decent SQL setup that will get loud and sound good for daily use...

Thanks a lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i dont think you can go wrong with eiter from what ive read so far people love both never heard anything bad,,now since i myself have never heard eiter in person i would go with fi because the make is active on the boards, very quick to answer emails..and his past history prooves he knows what hes doing when it comes to subs..plus the vibe i get from fi is even though they wana make some money, there customers happiness and satifaction is more important at times..so i would go with fi's Q series id do 3 15's or 2 18's with abut 1000-1200 watts to each..

I should have been more clear...If i do go with the FI sub, i would be doing a single sub setup...the AA's are only $90 a piece where a Q would run me $309...which is around 300 like i said in my first post.

isnt the btl more of a SPL sub? I dont really want a flat out spl system...i want more of a loud sql system. How do you like your Qs? would one 15 or 18 get loud with a good amount of power? I have never done a single sub setup so im kinda leaning towards that idea rather than the 3 AAs...i just dont want to be dissapointed in output

dont have them yet,but every thread/review i have read tells me im gona be more then happy..if you prefer the multi sub set up then stick with the aa's 3 aa 12's sounds like it will be a good loud set up..and for the price i doubt you can do any better..

hmmm i think ill go the AA route...would 1500 watts be a lil much for the Assassins? I was thinking about running around 1200 watts to the 3...in a 6 CuFt ported enclosure tuned to around 30 hz

i've ran mine with a phoenix gold x600.1 with the 2 ohm xe.load trick.

in theory (confirmed by PG tech), this should be doing 1600W total!

i've ran them for over half and hour without a problem!

i think you'll be fine with 500W each. (and it'll pound!)

what is that load trick? I dont understand how that would work..

the only thing i dont like about the AA's are the fact that it has a single 4 ohm voice coil
