i drive a buick skylark and im trying to get some new front speakers and a deck put in. will any kind work, and which are recommended, im trying to spend no more than $300. thanxsz
1st do you already have a aftermarket HU? If so that makes it easier as you wont have to pay for a wire harness or dash kit. There are many cheap HU's that can work for you. Search the classifieds on here there are some good deals alot of the time. What yr skylark also. you can go to crutchfield.com and input your yr make and model of car with options and it will tell you what fits your car. As for speakers get a decent set of componets for the front doors.
i have a 95 skylark. i really have no clue about the HU. also, will i be able to remove the new speakers i buy and put them in my next car when the time comes?
According to Crutchfield, your front doors have 4x6" speakers. You have a few choices:
1. Modify the factory location in order to run 5.25" or 6.5" components.
i'd try to make ur factory location 6.5. you'll get lots of options wit that size. also just make sure the mounting depth is deep enough on ur next car so they would be able to fit.
