Hey everyone! I've posted here before a couple of times and everyone has helped me out a lot so far.

When it comes to audio and car electronics I am pretty much a noob. (I'm not going to lie.)

I have a 1998 Oldsmobile intrigue.

For my birthday back in April, I went and bought a HU, an Alpine - 45W x 4 CDE-9874. I liked it a lot and decided to look around for some speakers and subs to go along with it. I picked up off my friend 2 12" Hifonics HFi 12D4's and an amp to go along with it. I actually knew the name of it at one point but right now I can't remember it. I'm running off stock speakers. To me it sounds okay, but to everyone else they would probably say it sucks. I've seen some of the builds on here and they amaze me. I want someone to be amazed by my setup.

For all of you that have read this far I want to thank you and ask you for some help. I'm looking to make my setup better, to make my friends go "wow". For front speakers I was thinking of getting some PG RSD's 5 1/4's. I've heard they sound pretty good and they are cheap and easy to setup. For an amp, some people have suggested the Hifonics ZXi 6006 or Profile California 600 Watt Amp.

Is this good? Is it worth the money? Also, I guess my subs are good for now and when I get more money I could get some better ones.

For anyone that could help, I thank you in advance. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well, I'm not rich or anything but I do have some money. For the speakers and amp for them I wasn't planning on going over like 400? I don't really know prices for this kind of stuff.

Get a 2 channel amp that is at least 100 x 2 for your highs - so when you upgrade your sub amp you can still hear your highs.

Profile makes a 120 x x amp for under a hundred, for a hundred you can get a PG that does 120 x 2

im doing it all myself.... im not paying someone to do a crap job

That doesn't come out of very many new peoples mouths, and I applaud you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But yeah, RSD's, at least 100 watts to each, as said, Profile makes a good budget amp.
