Yup, quad voicecoils. These things are beasts. Oh, and the prices on the site are just msrp, email or call them to get the real prices. They are deccently less than msrp, but still too much for to afford:nono:

So how does one go about wiring one of these babies...

It took me a bit of time to fully grasp the dual voicecoil concept...

and if I powered 1 with either an RF bd1500.1 or a JBL BP1200.1, would it be enough? Think these amps might be able to handle two?

it isn't really that hard to wire it, if you get one i can send you a wiring diagram for Quad Voice Coil Subs... it is really hard to explain without a picture...

ummmm no. The XXX is 1600 RMS, and only one of those amps would not adequatly power two XXX's.

ok, so it's 1600RMS...but that doesn't mean it NEEDS 1600RMS, does it?

Yeah, some might say 700watts might not budge the cones much, but 1300~1500 watts, (assuming JBL pumps 1300RMS and RF at 1500), it's already very much near the limit of the speakers?

Yes, one amp might not be enough to push two to it's outright limit, but don't you think 750watts would still get you badass bass with the XXX?

THe brahma's are rated at 1600RMS or something like that, but it's also advised not to push it constantly at that level... or does the XXX have something else that I am totally unaware of?
