So im starting a buisness called subsonic creations here in louisville kentucky and i have a kid who has a 18" audiobahn 18x sub supposidly 4000 watts rms...this kid ordered a audiobahn ahct1800 or some bs like that....he orders it "2000 watts @ 1 ohm" well he bought a orion 2500d from me and i hooked it up...the box is ported and tuned to probally 30 it hits low but its not that loud cause its not tuned to be loud ya know?, so this kid will not listen to me...he ordered the audiobahn to hook up to one coil on the sub and hook up my orion 2500d to the other, and people are telling him that the audiobahn amp "IS a power house!!!!" IT will put out way more power then the orion and all this and he comes back and he says so much stuff, and everyone else keeps running it to him like orion is crap and what not...it just makes me so mad because i take all this time to teach them stuff and show them and what not and he calls like 8 other shops askign about audiobahn and everything its so dumb its rediculous cause this kid is making me so mad....Ok another instance i told him if he wants ranges and to get real loud he needs to get rid of the 18, or put it in a different box or get multiple 12"s so he goes to best buy...and was about to buy a 12" type r to put in there with the audiobahn 18" and hook up to the orion 2500d!!!! BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD HIM ID BE LOUDER!!!! WTF!!! Please how can i get it across to these people that audiobahn isnt the best and what not...besides the fact that circuit city dropped em //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

please reply as to i am going to print this out and take it to shops to get them to stfu and learn what there talking about...sorry an angry rant its just these kids here wont listen.

You might want to edit this if you print it.

If you are selling equipment to local customers, you have to assume they don't know much about car audio. Your main focus should be selling your equipment. Money talks. So teaching everyone you come in contact is a wasted effort. Most are not willing to learn so they listen to majority. So even if the kid wants to run 3 8" subs with 6 6x9's. Just tell him what you have to offer, to fit his choice. You should be pushing your products. If they don't want it because people say it sucks, prove them wrong by showing them. Install the 2500d and outperform the Bahn.

The kid might not know what is quality equipment, but he is a potential customer...

yeah thats true i guess i am trying to hard to educate...i should focus more on selling....its just i dont knwo i always wanted to be different then all the other shops but yeah...the 2500d is already in, im just going to have to wait and let him try and hook up that audio bahn to it..then when he does i know ill be making another sale for his new subs when he blows the amps and subs he has....thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah its just im trying to make things different around here expanding with ported and what not...but i dont know, i guess hell learn when i make a 12" louder then his 18" :p

Dude, like trigger said. Sell your equipment, then if they ask you what would be for their ideal setup then tell them what you reccomend. Just because someone buys audiobahn and does all that crap its their choice to. Let them do w.e they want. People will be stubborn when you run this business. Just sell the shit and if someone asks for help/advice. Help them.

I'm sure if I came running into that store with 400$ wanting 2audiobahns and amp just because, I'm sure you wouldn't hesitate my offer. Just make the custome happy bud.

Sell whatever the f you can, its all profit.

**** now im starting to feel less and less bad about it....i guess he'll have to try thru trial and error, now i know how noah felt talking to me when i was like i need more power...lol

this guy is exactly right...you are there to sell equipment not to educate the public on what rules and what doesnt..you can tell who doesnt know anything right away when they say they had a 4000 watt rockwood on their lejacy 12's and hit 178db. you are there to offer options to suite their needs, not to try and sell them what would be best in your opinion even if you are right. if they want 2000 watt audiobahn sell it to him if he wants 100 watt cellulode sell it. he is a customer and if you dont take his money someone else will

lol dumb prople dont take responsability for their actions. trust me even if you give in and let him do this stupid stuff he will place the blame on your shoulders more than likely

I do both options.

I will try to educate them on their choice. I will let them know what they are trying to acheive is difficult using inferior equipment. But I will gladdly sell them what they want if they would like.

I look at it like this....... if he hooks up that Audiobahn amp to one coil and the Orion to the other, he is asking for trouble. Then when it blows, he is gonna blame the Orion you sold him as the bad amp since "everyone" said the Audiobahn was better. Now you have 1 unhappy customer.

Remember, unhappy customers tell 10 people and happy ones tell 3.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Audiobahn is THE standard. It does not mean it's good. In fact, most of their stuff sucks in your average install. What it does mean is that every other brand in existance is compared to Audiobahn with this unrealistic, glorified image that Audiobahns's mediocre, chrome dipped equipment is going to outperform it. And why do they think that? Because Audiobahn tells them that.

Audiobahn is like Hitler. There was and is no regard for truth in that company. They just say "we are the best" in a Nazi style "master race" philosophy that every idiot with a stereo believes. And when I say idiot. I mean idiot. Flat out ignorant, uninformed, gullible IDIOT.

Cut and paste that... =)

What I'm getting at is that you will never convince them otherwise. dbornotdb is right. The only way to get their attention is to take the equipment you offered, and create a setup that outperforms his on such a level that noone can doubt it. And believe me, it's no easy task. You got to get 'em young, because otherwise they'll believe that til the day they die.

Very very impressive site and yes im going to call the customer and explain to him everything. Im going to tell him that im not going to warranty the amp due to his decisions and he has free will to do with what he pleases it just makes me upset i never looked at it lik eyou guys said thou....thanks everyone keep em coming boys! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
