WTF!? my amp is haunted!!!

ok i recently fixed my amp... so when i go to test it to see if it works i left the cover off ... you know, no need to put the cover on if its not working and it has to come right off, im not gonna leave it in there, just testing it for a minute ya know...

so i plug everything up, the amp works like a charm! but i notice without the cover theres about 3-4 LED's that are normally covered up by the cover, i thaught that was wierd but whatever... i disconnect everything and one of the LED's is still lit up!

im like WTF? omg i did something wrong, so i take out the amp and put it ontop of my car and its STILL LIT UP! i go into my house into the light and its still lit up! its been about 15 minutes and its still dimly lit up... wtf is this?

for you amp professional people , the led is labeled as "LED 399" , the other led's are "LED238" and the only one you see with the cover on (the protect led) is LED 463...

It is definately just the on-board caps holding voltage.

If you short the + & - leads together, the light will go out.

Looks pretty cool when that happens though:0

my ss ref 604 has the light stay on for about a minute afterwards. No problems just extra power in the caps i think as said before

Caps will ruin your charging system, *** **** your grandma, and then set fire to your house while simultaneously pouring sugar in your gas tank. They are the devil and should never be used.
