WTF is wrong with my battery?

I have a lightning audio Battex battery that i just installed....... and it keeps going dead ever since I installed my system.......... the lights usally dont dim or anything and i thought that battery was bacially a red top..... I also live in colorado were its cold does this have something to do with it?...... so should i put my old battery back in or what?

clean the terminals off the battery. make sure it gets the most conductivity. also upgrade the 3 main wires if possible. adding a new system demands more currect.

it works fine now that put my old BATTERY in and it worked fine.......... coul it have been te 8 guage wire atachment they left on?

I don't understand the wire you're describing but it could be giving you a bad ground causing it to discharge and drain your battery.

U know 8 guage power wire? i had it hooked up to my old setup the installers just cut it off and left some of it still atached to the battery

it shouldn't cause any problem since the current isn't being used up. something is up..

My friend had a similar prob with a red top. He got it hooked it up and it wouldnt hold a charge. He would charge it and in about 1 or 2 days it would lose its charge. So he took it back and they gave him a new one. Works fine now.

Nah, not unless it's shorting out (but you'd KNOW that lol). Sounds like you just got a bad battery.
