well he could have made friends with previous good deals... for instance he sold me my IDW's and other than taking a month to get it he sent them and they work great. I paid $350 shipped for both... but I'm not exactly going to defend him, I have no idea why he suddenly flipped out...

I can understand taking the time and effort to back up someone you know is a stand-up guy (or gal) that is having an isolated problem with a buyer who had issues like bieng unreasonably impatient or something. But if all of a sudden tons of people are having issues with a seller that, to me, says that the positive selling practices that seller may have exhibited during a transaction with me have obviously gone by the wayside between then and now. I'm not going to expend any energy bothinering to defend something like that. I might be bothered to insert a lone comment something to the effect of "When X-User and I did a deal it went down with no problems. Sorry to hear you're having troubles with them now " and that would be the end of it.
