WOW!!! New JL set up!!!

Well like I said before I haven't really gone with jl Audio beofre, but man thats 12w6v2 w/ the 500/1 knocks!!!! Im running the panasonic 8803 HU with a slotted box Dynomat'd trunk and a Cadence 10 farad cap 1/0 amp kit. It hits nice. I cant wait to get a db rating here soon. Im thinking mid 140's. But very pleased with there products. Im thinking about going with the JL components with a 300/4 as well, but then again not to experienced with the mid/high of jL.

Thats cool. I delt with the noob thing on clubsi.com back in the day now hopefully I got away from all that. But yeah my brother always did JL 1st gen of there subs and I never really liked them but then again i was like 15-or so. but i havent heard a 13w7 yet but im interested in how hard it would hit with a 1000/1. That may be the next step once I get a DB read on my set up now. My car is ready to hold in sound so I guess we will see

140 would be hard with one 12, maybe sure you get a hold of a term lab meter....

Yea there was a guy on this forum somewher i found how he put his set up with the exact same sub amp ect, So i put it to that, the db gain is set at like 3-4 only, it feels like it can go much louder but not too sure on turning the gain up much more but then again im told this amp was made for this sub so maybe no higher then 10dbs would maybe sound even better??

Another guy had put his settings LOL like full on everything...go figure he blew his shit like a week later...

Yeah 140 might be but then again I used 2 type R's with a zapco 350 and hit 141.7 and this set up seems much louder...But i think i got a friendly reading out of that type r set up

My one mag 12 is in the low 139s with 600rms sealed...and that is at 34-37hz

My friend used to have 3 w6v2's and they sounded nice. I don't think one of those subs with only a 500/1 will get you into the 140's, but it'll definately sound good and be more than loud enough for a daily driver.

Yeah well does anyone have a good way of finding out when dB drags are in washington.?? i know a few local car audio places do them in summer time but I wanna get in the first and so therefore I can upgrade quickly and improve I want to hit 150+ by the end of summer.
