Would this sub/power upgrade be worth it?

Right now I have a single Fi SSD10 sealed with a PG ti600.2 running it. Would it be worth my while to upgrade to the Fi Q10 with 1000rms on it in the same sealed box? I know it would make more sence to just add another SSD but I really like how the box fits my truck perfect without losing much space. Now I know its not going to be a huge increase in bass but for anyone thats owned both could leave there input on what they think.

Throwing more power at a sub will increase output, but you would notice a bigger difference if you went ported. If there was a way to fit a ported box to your liking, that would be the best way to go IMO.

Ya I know ported would be better off but the sealed box I have fits perfect.

I have 600rms @ 4ohms bridged to the SSD now. The PG titaniums are pretty strong for there power ratings. The SSD does have really good output but its having a hard time keeping up to my Boston Pro's.

Here is a pic... I'd really like to keep this box.

As in meaning, try a different box and see if you like the quality of sound and level of output before just swapping out equipment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I would like to try ported but the box wouldn't fit where I have it now. Thats why I was thinking more power and a sub with more output.

What about a larger sealed box?
Actually I ended up putting a few pieces of wood in the box because the sub was lacking upper bass even when crossed at 80 with 12db slope. It sounds great now, I was just looking for some more output with the same space ( I know, not a good idea)

ive heard that fi subs get a good deal louder when you get them to 1000rms. i have heard a few people go from 500 or 600 to 1000 and they said it was worth it.
Ya..Maybe I'll try putting 1000 watts to the SSD I have now. It seems like the Titanium 600 gives it everything it can handle.

couldnt you build a ported box to the same footprint just make it taller??
Center console won't open //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
