Would this be louder than my current set up?

So right now I have a DD9500d motor with RE SX softparts, and I'm thinking of doing an upgrade. I might buy a Fi BTL15 with all basic parts. I would still run it off my RE 12.1 (eventually upgrade to something with more power) and use my current box, which is 3.5 cufeet tuned to 34 hz. Would that be a lot louder than the sub I run right now? Also, I'm only going to use this for daly driving.

I'd get it with some of the upgrade parts, so later u can throw 2,500 at it daily and it'll take it like a champ. But yeah , I think it'll be a little louder, not much till u get another amp.

If I were you I would recone it back to the original DD9500.

Why not recone it to a 9500? Why would you ever put RE soft parts on a DD motor?

Definately recone it back to a 9515. Get a bigger amp, too and you'll be in business. A BTL would be nice, but it's be much cheaper to just get some 9515 soft parts and use the extra money you save towards a ZX2500 or an IA 20.1 or something.

When you order the recone from DD be sure to order a new basket, basket to motor spacer and new screws for the basket to motor. Your not the first person we have sent recones to for that DD9500/RE soft parts sub. The DD9500 design does not like RE soft parts.

Well, should i just send them my sub for the recone? Or have them send me the parts? Whats the difficulty on doing a recone?

The freight to send the sub to DD and back will be about $60-70 total . If you send it to DD you know it will be done right.
