Would this amp work well with this sub?

Hi, I'm rather inexperienced in the world of car audio. I'm going to be getting a single alpine type r 15" sub (750 watt) and I'm thinking of getting this amp.. I know kenwood is a reliable brand, and I'd like to try to keep the price in the low $200s at the most.

Would the kenwood work, or is there another amp out there that would work better?

Btw, I'm putting this in a '98 Izuzu rodeo, if that matters.

i personally am not a fan of kenwood amps. Check out AuidoPipe or even Hifonics before kenwood.

I haven't ordered it yet, I can either get the 4 or the 2. How do I tell which one I need?

you can get a dual 4 type R and buy a kicker zx750.1 that will do aroudn 900 at 2 ohms for like.. 140 used.

Don't buy a prefab box please. Have somebody here help you out in designing a good box. The extra money spent on a good box will be well worth it.
