Not gonna hurt anything, but unless you were getting massive voltage drops, I don't see there being that much of a change.

Your alt is what's going to keep your voltage up over 12V anyway, the battery, when the car is running, is just for reserves.

I would say no unless your voltage was always around 12- 12.6

Hmm. The voltages on my car (with car running) ranged from 13V down to 11.7 V depending what songs I was bumping.

Sigh. I don't have an o-scope. I'm debating whether I should go buy one.

Also, for you electrical engineers on here, should I buy a cheap one like this:

I'm a JR Electrical/Computer Engineering student. I wouldn't need to own an expensive o-scope anyway right? Do you engineers on here own a good o-scope or do you just use the ones your company provides you with?
