Would i be able to do this to a Mono amp?

The problem is you cannot wire a 2 Dual VC 4 ohm subs to a mono block amp at anything but 1, 4, 16 ohm. If you want to get the most power you will need a amp that is 1 ohm stable.

the amp will be fine at 1 ohm, it's the subs you'll need to be careful with. They'll be getting roughly 40% more than rated power - keep the gains low, and if you hear anything that doesn't sound right turn the volume down.

I had two Skar amps (4ch & a monoblock) go bad within a year. Post #2 is an excellent recommendation.

Buy the 4 ch and keep the other. Usually on a 5 ch there isnt much of a substage, but there are a couple with a 1k @1ohm ch., but very few. A 5 ch is usually pretty pricey compared to getting two...
