Working with a budget, box question

Due to a tight budget I'm using 2 10" Sony Xplod subs from wallyworld. I'm pushing them with an older model Kenwood Amp 2 Ohm bridged around 300W. What would be the best box for these subs. The instructions recommend a sealed enclosure but from everything I've read that provides the least amount of thump, which is what I'm looking for. Thiele/Small properties can be provided if needed.

Any help is appreciated.

from what i know about sony they really dont sound good in a ported box there more ment for a sealed box.

I'm probably going to go with a sealed. But would adding a small port help or hinder? Not adding one to a sealed box. Just getting a vented box with a small port.

With those particular subs ported enclosures are probably not the best idea. They tend to experience cone break up easily and that causes distortion.

I guess I'll be sticking with sealed then. I wish I had never sold my original setup....**** wedding.....
