Working w/factory Tahoe headunit

How can I get a great system using the factory Delco headunit (I prefer the look). Is the output quality good enough? Would I upgrade the speakers? and add a box. Something like this.

ditch the stock hu. been there done that, no output voltage, poor sq....do it right the first time

and is also 1and a half DIN size. There's like 4 or 5 headunits that are made specifically for the GM and Chrysler slots. If I could get a OEL screen on a 1.5 DIN, that would be sweet.
