woofersetc.com has blowout on CDT speakers

Never understood why CDT have 50 million models.
they have some crazy guy sitting in their design department coming up with new models just off of a new color and other small stuff

i dont know either lol just an idea.... they all look the same to me too

http://www.cdtaudio.com/pdf/ES-6_07.pdflook into these i bet most guy on this forum have never even heard these before, which i think have plenty of midbass.
I believe those are the mids I have...

for 200 the hex is a nice set, but if yoyur just dropping them in factory locations i would probably look into something along the lines of the RE XXXs both the CDTs and HEXs sound alot better on axis in about .25 sealed xover around 70-90hz most people expect a 2 way midrange to drop to 65hz with blazing output and truth is with 125 watts and that wide a band width your not going to find any speaker to do it and sound excellent in a stock "drop-in" installation..
I have mine crossed at 65ish and they sound great.

ha, well CDT is actually about 40 miles away from my boyfriend's shop. ken does all the designing. he's recently launched awesome home audio lines, as well. each speaker has a unique purpose for custom applications, but it can be confusing. i will admit i'm not a fan of the yellow/gold but the new ES line is black and silver. much better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

.. so what I am looking for is something with strong mid-bass that can still be heard in a convertible, along with a good sub that is in the driver's side footwell.
I know you can't go wrong with the Diamond Audio Hex series as a solid set for ~$200.00.

I don't mind spending more, but I want to get my money's worth. So if I spend $500, I expect at least twice the bass and same level of tweeters rather than just 10% //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Get it?

Thanks guys, I'm a newbie.. so I am probably asking very stupid questins :p
First, the Diamond set is not all that. It amazes me that the Hex's seem to be mentioned more and more lately. I thought they were dead and buried a couple of years ago.

Second, there are without question diminishing returns when you start moving up the food chain. If your standard is to get twice the value for spending twice as much then you should pprobably go with a $200 set (more or less) and call it a day.

Female or ghey?

the profile shows her ghey picture.
it also shows her awesome cdt upstage/centerstage kit... which killed her install //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Oh mai, to the photo. And agreed on the upstage and with everyone else who has said CDT has too many variations within a single line. I used to be able to tell which crossover / tweets were the better ones, but I can't keep up. They should include a secret decoder ring.

i'll pretend to ignore this, but i really don't care if you like my setup or not. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

some people just can't take any criticism, even if it's constructive.
this is you: Focal > CDT. and you don't care for my upstage. that's personal opinion, not criticism. but thanks for trying. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
