woofersetc.com has blowout on CDT speakers

they are great sq speakers, i've only heard the EF and CL series and they had smooth highs and detailed mids but the midbass wasn't enough for the music i listen to.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
understandable. listen to the ES series (GOLD) if you get a chance. that's what i've got in my truck and i'm going with the HD series in my civic. it really is personal preference, and since i'm mostly interested in SQ, they're ideal.

hows the midbass with them? I'm going to check them out at woofersetc right now.

when we first started reassembling the truck after paint, i had my 7", 3" and tweets hooked up, but not my subwoofers yet. had to drive the truck home for some reason and just had those running and the 7" put out a surprising amount of bass, i was shocked. of course, not in comparison to subwoofers, but for what they are, they're impressive.

asking for opinions on car audio is kind of worthless, since everyone has their personal preferences on setups (SQ vs. SPL) and brands (i.e. CDT vs. Focal), but for an SQ setup, i would say CDT is some of the best equipment for the price and warranty.

CDT has too many different comp sets, all with similar model numbers.

Its almost like they cant quite get it right, so they keep trying.

I never liked my CDTs... I had two pairs, EF-61FG and EF-61 + TW-25's... and, I just didn't like them. They didn't get loud, nor did they sound good.
your an idoit... for hte money its one of the best sets i have heard... the tweeter is awesome and the mid is very smooth and defined... awesome midbass... CDT really does make some of hte best comps money can buy..

Wow, leave the fan boy tirade at home please, and don't start a sentence with "your an idiot" and the misspell both "You're" and "idiot"

Epic Fail...

and for the thread I was never impressed by CDT either...

.. so what I am looking for is something with strong mid-bass that can still be heard in a convertible, along with a good sub that is in the driver's side footwell.

I know you can't go wrong with the Diamond Audio Hex series as a solid set for ~$200.00.

I don't mind spending more, but I want to get my money's worth. So if I spend $500, I expect at least twice the bass and same level of tweeters rather than just 10% //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Get it?

Thanks guys, I'm a newbie.. so I am probably asking very stupid questins :p
