I never liked my CDTs... I had two pairs, EF-61FG and EF-61 + TW-25's... and, I just didn't like them. They didn't get loud, nor did they sound good.

After further review, I think I'm going to pass too.. too many mixed reviews and some downright horrible ones.

Right now, the top contender to beat is the Diamond Audio HEX S600 series for $200.00

Your doing something wrong.

My old HD62's got extremely loud and sounded great, one of my favorite speakers ive owned.

cdt is nothing special, the midbass totally sucks with most of them. But the first choice up there is a great deal.

i completely disagree about some of the comments about CDT. if you are claiming those speakers don't sound good, something is wrong. i'm running my CDT setup off of DEI amplifiers and they still sound amazing. switching the amps out soon to something more powerful. so really, i am not hearing the full potential that these speakers have until i change the amps. i'm extremely happy, but also extremely biased to this brand.

they are great sq speakers, i've only heard the EF and CL series and they had smooth highs and detailed mids but the midbass wasn't enough for the music i listen to.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
