woofersetc.com has blowout on CDT speakers

i use to use the up stage kit as well which can be quite good thats if you have bad imaging.

my imaging was ok with cdt tweeters.

I since replaced the two sets with one large home format tweeters which are more open than the two sets that i replaced.

wat?

I dont have the upstage kit however i have the cdt cl-62cf set and i have the mids in stock location and the tweets in the a pillars, the doors arent deadened or sealed at all and not a great job with installing them in factory locations, and the midbass is decent not the greatest but it could be much better with proper install.

I was actually getting all excited about the EF w/ upgraded tweets for $169. So, maybe at the quoted list price of almost $600 you can get better, but are there really better-sounding comps at that sale price? That's cheaper than list on Kappas (I know they can be found for less...still).

Another reason why I don't recommend it, is because I don't give a shit about what my passengers hear. The driver seat is the sweet spot.
i can see that. considering most of the time i'm the only one in the truck and it's not driven very much anyway, i wanted it to image well from the driver's side. but in competing, they judge from the passenger side also, and the truck is partly a demo for the shop, so we wanted people to be able to sit in both seats and it sound the same.

I am using the entry level CDT CL comps and they sound amzing, very nice midbass, smooth tweeters and very detailed mids. I have owned MBQ, Infinity, Polk, Excelon and plenty more and the CDT's sound better to me.
