Wondering about a deal from a friend.

My buddy is selling me his Audiobahn 15, with some probably cheap 800watt amp. The sub is already boxed, and i'll also be getting an adapter for my stock deck. I was wondering, he wants $150 for it, is that a good deal? He said he would install it too. Would that be powerful, and is it a good setup? I have a 2003 Trailblazer too, so I hope it's loud!

Edit: I'm basically a car audio noob, I really don't know much at all. I know the basics I suppose, but I don't know what's good or not, especially when it comes to deals, or installs.

is it a good setup... no. but if thats all the money u got, go for it. then when u get some more money for better stuff, wall socket it and post up some vids.

Ah, good question.

If you like how it sounds.. then yes it is a good deal. Especially if he is going to install it for you. If you haven't heard it, I would wait for something else to come along. Just make sure he doesn't do a sloppy job (wires everywhere.. stuff sliding around)

find out the brand and model of the amp and also what model the 'bahn sub is, and what kind of box its going in, and the impedence of the sub and we can figure out if its a good deal...

cheap stuff doesnt always mean junky stuff, i paid $50 for a nice 12, box and small amp to push it, and I thought the value of the purchase far exceeded the price I paid.

It sounds like a fair price for the bahn and amp being installed for 150. It will get some decent bass, but dont expect much out of an audioblahahauua

btw you are going to get a line out converter for your stock deck huh? that may put a sour taste in your mouth if you want control over the sub level etc etc

Well if he installs it for you and since you dont know how to do that, i guess 150 is cool if thats your budget. Try and get it for 100

Alright, i'll see what he does for $100... He said it was like a limited edition audiobahn or something.

Anyway, he also told me I could control the bass with the adapter from the stock deck, oh well. I'm super low on cash, but hopefully I can work this out.

I'm just hoping it'll have good bass, that's it haha. I'm not looking to do shows or blow the **** out of my ears, just something bumping and enjoyable. Hopefully something looking nice as well.
