wondering about 8's

I have done some very bad things to my 1508 and its still going just fine.

I was running it daily in .7 @ 44hz on a Fusion NV AM25001d.

It took 3 1600ish 5 sec burps, on the 3rd the surround separated from the cone some.

Re glued it, did that again a few times(the burps, not the separation-lol).....now I have a 3512:naughty:

In all honesty tho, I had it in a 1ish cuft tuned to 36ish hz and it sounded very good in this.

Dont get me wrong now, the .75 @ 44hz sound rather good to and it will still play to 35hz with out unloading.

@ 30 it starts to have some issues.......its just an 8-lol

i may just do it. no money for stuff right now but i plan on ditching the american bass 8's fairly soon cuz they are loud as **** but not very musical IMO.

Put them in 2 cuft with about 36" of port and your same tuning now....

If you like, you can try the 1cuft, 19" of port @ 36ish I have here....

i doubt it , the thing suposedly does around 1150 watts bridged. pops any amount of fuses under 100 amps. yet the fukcer came with 60 amps of fusing. LOL
