without an amp

What front component speakers 6.5" can sound good off of just a 22rms pioneer deck, i am putting a system in my race car and i cant afford the extra weight of an amp. Actually, if someone can help me find that and a really lightweight amp/sub combo as well. Nothing crazy. Thanks a lot, i dont want the entire stereo to weight more than 30-40 pounds including the n5 deck.

but if you want a small amp i have a cadence txa1502 2 ch like BNIB

or a BNIB crunch gp4100, gp 4150, gp2350

all pretty small and not heavy

i have a 4ch. Helix that is pretty small. TBH i can't think of any speakers that will sound good with only headunit power

I rock JL audio VR series 6" speakers off the head unit. It is decent until I save up for an amp.

oh yeah, back to the original inquiry, powerbass comps I've had in the past (3 pair) sounded pretty decent off HU power

wow thanks a lot for the feedback. When you say not that heavy, what does that mean? I mean, if i could get away with under 40 pounds with everything then sign me up. its an 88 mustang gt, its got no ac or anything but when i am just driving down the road sometimes i want to bump some beats.

lol idk where you got the idea that an amp for some mids/highs had to weigh up to 40 lbs, my whole front stage probably adds maybe 10lb's to my car, granted its nothing special...but its pretty **** loud

lol true, a complete front stage shouldn't weigh that much. Unless you're talking about deadening and all that shit.

i have a pair of memphis pr 6.5s and they didnt sound bad with deck power...granted they sound better now with a amp....i think they would sound ok for your app.

edit: then again maybe it would be a good idea to have a small highs amp since this is for your race car and may have some interior noise from exhuast/engine.
