Witch Way Should The Speakers Go

I am going to build a box for my explorer and i have 2 stroker 12"s I know the box needs to be 3.2 cubic feet per sub with 2 4X17" ports per sub but what i dont know is which way should i face the subs and the ports? If any one can give me and idea it wouldl be great.

That is what i thought but i wanted to be sure thats 1 big box to try to move
