Its been a few years since I installed a system in my cars myself, so I've forgotten some stuff.
I currently have 2 Alpine Type R DVC 4 10s running @ 2ohms x 2 on a Pioneer GM-A5702. My question is this, would it be better to leave these wired at 2ohm or bridge the amp to 1 channel @ 4ohm and wire the subs to a 4 ohm load or leave em at 2x2ohm channels? I cant remember the formula to figure total wattage to each coil based on total amp wattage.
Amp and sub specs follow:
Alpine Type R DVC 10s
500 Watt RMS (250 watts per coil)
GMA5702: 240 watts x 2 rms @ 2ohm
480 watts x 1 rms @ 4ohm bridged
Somebody help an old basshead please!!!! Thanks in advance
