I've looked through the tutorials but not really seen what I'm looking for. I have a 03 Toyota 4runner, and it is equipped with a factory JBL system. The stock sub is blown, and I'm going to be replacing it with another 8" sub (aftermarket). I'm hoping I can use the JBL amp to power the new sub as a temporary solution until I can get a separate amp. The current JBL sub is a 2 ohm DVC. Most of the replacement subs I'm looking at are SVC 4 or 8 ohm. My assumption is that the JBL is wired into the amp at 4 ohms. In theory, I'd be able to run the 4 ohm SVC at the same power (right now it's 45 watts RMS per coil). Is there a way I can wire in the SVC 4 ohm with the factory amp and still get the 90 watts RMS? I'm assuming there are two separate leads coming from the amp, I'm new to this and wasn't sure if both could be hooked in. Thanks for any advice!
