sup guys i have a question. i have a old alpine 4 channel and a pioneer 7800. the fader and balance are messed up if i go forward it gets louder go to rear it gets quieter. which ever way i go all the way left right rear or forward all speakers play. the 4 channel is old and ghetto but used to seem to work alright. but now the speakers dont sound very good at high volume. what do you think it could be? the deck is only about 2 year old

make sure your speaker wires are connected correctly on that 4 channel. my friend wired his wrong and had the same problem lol. It was actually kinda funny. but anyway just make sure you have your white and white/stripe for left front

grey and grey/stripe for right front

green and green/stripe for left rear

purple and purple/stripe for right rear.

also make sure it correct up by the head unit too.

check RCAs are in correct position

if that doesn't fix the problem it is the head unit. fading and volume are done with the speaker wires. if speaker wires are done correctly then trial by error the head unit is shot.
