Wiring options for 2000wrms amp...

I'm not new to car audio, but I have a question on some wiring..

I'll be installing two amps, one around 2000wrms and one around 400wrms for highs/mids..

The 2000wrms has no internal fuses, and recommends 200A for fusing. the smaller amp has internal fuses, and recommends 80A for fusing...

Normally I'd run the wires to a fused distribution block.

I'm going to be running 1/0g from the battery to the back of my SUV where the amps will be located.

Is a short run of 4g too small for a 2000wrms amp?

If it is, what would be the best way to go about fusing that amp and the smaller amp?

Any suggestions?

Yes. The 4g wire runs the chance of burning up, which could start fires, when you're running it with a good amount of power. Do what you are doing, except use bigger wire from the distro to the amplifier. 2 gauge or so.

Therein lies the problem. I haven't found a decently looking fused d-block that can do both 0g and 4g outputs, at least one that can use ANL fuses @ 200A...

knukonceptz has one that can do a 1/0g or 4g, but it only uses the mini-anl wafer type fuses..

Any ideas on what to do? I figured the 4g would be too small.

For a wire run under 4' using 4 ga wire will be fine. The 4 ga shouldn't have a problem handling up to 225 amps at such a short distance. 0/1 ga from the front to back is a given, but 4 ga shouldn't be an issue at all for playing music.
