impedance rise

my current box has a 2.8 impedance rise, or thats what the guy told me when i got the amp clamped. my question is; can i take 2x duel 2 ohm subs and wire them to .5 ohms and my amp is stable to 1 ohm, and not have the amp go into protection mode?

Sounds like you need some spl dust to keep the rise down.

well i will have one in the near future. planning on running just one. but maybe later i plan on adding another, it dont want to have to buy another amp that is .5 ohm stable.

The reason no one can answer this is because rise will not remain constant.
