i have a 1500 watt amp (hiphonics mono) and hopefuly getting 2 kicker L7 12's, now what battery cable should i use a 4gage, 2gage or a 0gage(even thought it will prob screw my alternator and battery to shit) any comments to this matter will be help full

i personally would go with 0/1 awg, 2awg if you can find it.

1500 rms watts is a lot if you plan to run it at 1ohm that is. dont get your hopes down about straining your electrical system, thats why theres a DIY prodecured called "the big 3" which im in the process of as well. http://forum.sounddomain.com/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=007801;p=

0/1 is overkill; if that's your only amp, 4AWG will be fine.

if you wanted to run 1/0 to a distro to allow for future upgrades and then 4awg from the distro to the amp that would be fine.
