wiring help

I need some help trying to figure out the best way to wire my amp and subs. I have a pair of 12" 4ohm dvc subs and an audiopipe ap15001d amp. What is the best way to wire this? I've searched crutchfield and RF's site and 12 volt but the diagrams don't match what the manual says. However, if I switch my diagram search from a mono amp to a 2 channel it matches up with the manual. Is the ap15001d actually a 2 channel amp that "can" be run mono? Running this amp at 1 ohm would severely overpower my little subs. Their Diamond D1's. Thanks for the help!

You can run the amp at 4 ohms so you don't blow those subs. Make a jumper wire and go from positive on voice coil one to negative on voice coil two. The remaining two terminals go to the amp. Do this for each sub. This will make each sub 8 ohms. Then when you connect them to the amp it will make it 4 ohms. You can connect one sub to each set of terminals because it is bridged internally.

also, it is a 2 channel amp that you can bridge, which makes it mono (one-channel). that amp is not 1 ohm stable, so you will need to run those subs to a 4 ohm output, which will pull full potential out of that amp (4 ohms bridged). you will not blow those subs as long as you adjust the gain on the amp properly. start low and work your way up with the head unit volume at its highest without making your highs sound like shit.

why do you say it's not 1 ohm stable when the manual says it is and i've read on here where some people say with proper electrical that it can be run at .5 ohm?

AUDIOPIPE NEW 2 CHANNEL AMP 1500 WATT CAR AMPLIFIER - eBay (item 350203574304 end time Feb-12-10 10:31:42 PST)

is that the amp youre running? i know the AP3000 does 1 ohm, but still, its only 1 ohm A CHANNEL and/or 2 ohms bridged. you better have dam good electrical if youre gonna try and run that at 1 ohm, let alone 0.5
