wiring help !!!!!!!!!!

can you guys help me im trying to install my new subs and amp but am new to the whole wiring scene. the amplifier is a alpine mrd m1005 amp which is 1000watts rms at 2ohm . i purchased 2 kikcer 10 inch L7 subs which are dual 2 ohm voice coil.. how do i wire them . any diagrams will help alot . can some one please help me with the whole positive/negative thing on each sub. i would really appreciate it .

no i havent wired the amp yet. why are some of the positive terminals on my sub solid red then some are red with a white do itn the middle. also where does the above diagram start at my cars battery or my amp?

at amp...sounds like you may wanna get some help with the electrical part of this. we don't want you frying yourself or the amp/subs

I agree with the above post. If you don't know how to properly wire an amp with an inline fuse and proper grounds, etc..., I would definitely think about having a professional do it, or at least have somebody who knows what they are doing help you out for your first time.

Oh, and I believe the dots are there to show which positive and negative go together. In other words, the positive with the dot corresponds to the negative with the dot. Obviously then, the positive and negative without the dots go with each other.
