I am doing the Big 3 upgrade now onto the question. I am installing my new stereo system in my new 06 Chevy Truck. I am going to install my JL audio 500/1 to my Subs and my JBL GTO 75.2ii to my components. How all should this be wired. 1/0 gauge from battery to Distribution Block and then 4 gauge to the 2 amps? What size fuse at the Battery JL says 50amp and JBL has 37 amps draw so around 40 fo rit being a Total of 90amp fuse at Battery? Do I need to run a Fused Distribution block Also? and have a 50 and 40 amp fuse to their corresponding amp? Is the wire size overkill should I go 4 gauge to distro then 8 gauge to amps? Please Help me out since I have not installed subs and a amp in about 17 years and alot has changed. Also What size fuse should I run from alternator to Battery in the Big 3 upgrade? Should I leave the small gauge wire hooked up also? Any problem doing that leaving it on?
