my remote wire was exposed and it touched the "dimmer" wire which wasn't wired to anything now there is no power to my amps. no fuses are blown, my grounds and positive wires are hooked up. I didn't have my rca's hooked up so I couldn't acctuallytell if the remote wire touching the other wire was my problem, but i remeber pulling on my remote wire because it was short for me to get to, so it might of got ripped or something. But mainly what else could be the cause of my amps not coming on?

nope none at all, the only conclusion i could come up with right not is that the pulled on the remote wire to hard or somethin like that. is there another wire i can connect the amp's remote wire to instead?

have a 12 volt power outlet that comes on only when the car is on? Use that

You could get creative and tie into the AC Controls. That way your amp turns on when you turn the air on!

thats not very practicle IMO, its a stereo, you want it on whne the cars on, your not trying to do any immobilizers here, just listen to music, you can tap into your factory fuse box, or your acc wire in the steering colum
